Jade Park is a is a 55 acre employment site located less than a minute from the A19 immediately south of Murton, County Durham giving excellent access to Tees Valley, Sunderland, Durham and Newcastle upon Tyne with multimodal transport access to the UK and beyond.

Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems Europe are taking the first unit on the site, part of the first phase of Jade Park, construction of which began in 2019. Phase one is due to complete in summer 2020 and will deliver a total of seven new industrial units, equivalent to 155,000 sq ft of new space for distribution, technology, and advanced manufacturing businesses.

Only 11 miles south of the Nissan manufacturing plant (NMUK Sunderland), it is ideally suited for businesses in automotive manufacturing supply chain with an index of specialisation in the automotive industry of 3.1 and a working age population within one hour of 1.2m. The site is adjacent to Dalton Park retail centre with its shopping, leisure and food facilities.

Fully serviced, engineered and level site with first phase infrastructure complete. A new service road links directly to the A19 dual carriageway. Durham County Council also has a programme of works to increase the capacity of the A19/A182 junctions serving Jade Business Park allowing for future growth.

The site will be managed by Business Durham, the economic development arm of the council. The project is being delivered in partnership with Highbridge Developments, the company behind the UK’s largest office park, Cobalt, in North Tyneside.

The site is an Enterprise Zone which gives rates advantages to occupiers and is developed by Highbridge Developments.
