Close to the A1(M) and the thriving town of Sedgefield, the North East Technology Park (NETPark) is a leading science park and a centre for electronics and advanced engineering. The Centre for Process Industries already hosts several high tech companies at its National Centres for Printable Electronics, Healthcare Photonics and Formulations as well as Durham University’s Centre for Advanced Instrumentation. NETPark is also the home of the NE Satellite Applications catapult in a rapidly growing sector of the economy. Over 200 acres of land owned by Durham County Council is set aside for development with a primary focus on applications in the medical, sustainable energy, defence, space and communications sectors. As part of its 3rd phase of development NETPark offers a number of opportunities for investment and development centred on individual development plots ranging from 1 to 4 acres with outline planning permission.
