Tuesday 10 March 2020 14.15-15.00

Invest Newcastle, Stand C19.C

The North East of England has a global reputation for research excellence into healthy ageing they are using this as an opportunity to facilitate innovation-led economic growth. It’s about working collaboratively to create a society that is better equipped to meet the opportunities and challenges of ageing populations.

This event will explore how Newcastle is pioneering the longevity economy and how big data and innovation is not only helping the city create a place where people can live well for longer but opening opportunities for businesses in a market that could be worth billions of pounds.

With co-investment from Government, Newcastle University launched the UK’s National Innovation Centre for Ageing (NICA).  NICA was established to work across academia, industry and with the public to explore, test and bring to market products that promote healthy ageing.

The city’s vision and multi-faceted approach has helped NICA to create a unique narrative and business approach they have defined asAgeing Intelligence™which brings the ability to personalise user experiences and harness the power of data to generate insights into customer needs and wants, taking advantage of opportunities that generate new revenue streams.

Ageing Intelligence™ is allowing business to benefit from commercial insight and capitalise on the longevity economy. Applying Ageing Intelligence™ to data enables organisations to generate new insights and patterns and learn continuously from existing and real time data™

This event is about creating a world in which we all live better, for longer. Together.
